Pictured is the original building taken in 1900. The building housed the O.C. Simpson, Dry Goods, Groceries, Provisions, Flour Feed & General Household Supplies.
Post-Fire Building
Following a fire at the original building, the peak was destroyed. This is a picture of the building when it was purchased by High Energy.
Our Story
High Energy Gas & Wood located at 8227 Victoria Street in Metcalfe is a locally owned and operated family business. The business was founded in 1998 and since then, High Energy Gas & Wood has become the “GO TO” company to contact for anything fireplace or wood stove related.
With a newly renovated showroom in an historic building in the heart of the Village of Metcalfe, you will find over 35 fireplaces, wood stoves and inserts on display at any given time. Whether it be wood, gas, propane or electric, High Energy Gas & Wood is qualified to provide solutions to your needs.
